I am white British, born in London and went to a state co-ed comprehensive school. I have over 30 years’ experience in the City and started my career as a Legal Secretary within one of the Magic Circle law firms. I went on to study Human Resources which lead me to Financial Services. I have also worked in Business Management but my current role is Risk Management.
I am the JBI Community lead at Julius Baer International Limited, a Mental Health First Aider and a Menopause Champion. I joined the Diversity Project’s Steering Committee in 2021 and established the Diversity Project’s menopause workstream. My passion to accelerate progress towards a more inclusive culture is driven by my own personal experience of menopause. Whilst menopause for me was challenging personally, from a work perspective I felt supported and encouraged to raise awareness however, I am acutely aware that not everyone has the same positive experience in the workplace. It is great menopause has become a hot topic and less of a taboo but there is a long way to go and it is now time to Make the Change.
