Luiza Barwood

Originally from Brazil, London has held a special place in my heart since I arrived at sixteen to pursue my secondary education. Over the years, I’ve lived in various vibrant locations, including Brazil, New York, and London.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging are core values I hold dear. As an HR professional, career coach, a woman, and a divorced working mother from a minority group in financial services, these principles are central to my work and personal mission. In 2024, I founded Inbrace Talent, a Talent and DEI consultancy with the motto “Embrace Diversity, Elevate Talents, and Unleash Purpose.” Through Inbrace Talent, I aim to combine my experience and purpose to continue being a change-maker.

I hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Birkbeck College. Recently, I completed a transformative Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program at Cornell University, which has equipped me with fresh insights and best practices. This knowledge fuels my passion for driving positive change by leading DEIB initiatives within the financial services sector.

I am also delighted to serve as an Ambassador for the Diversity Project, allowing me to actively contribute to our shared mission of cultivating a more diverse and inclusive workspace within the financial services industry.
