Born and raised in East London, with a proud Indian Sikh heritage from parents who both emigrated to the UK with their parents from Northern India. His parents’ ethos of hard work and perseverance influenced Jet’s formative years profoundly.
Spent entire 24-year career in Institutional asset management, starting career at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) as a client account analyst, before taking on responsibility for managing institutional client teams and then Head of Governance – Institutional Client Service, Marketing and Distribution to support the exponential growth of the business whilst it was strategically diversifying its investment capabilities and the business geographically. Jet joined State Street Global Advisors in June 2015, tasked with developing and building out the institutional client team and to help shape the UK Institutional business function.
An accomplished professional who serves as the Head of UK Client Relationship Management in the Global Institutional Client Group at SSGA, where he focuses on serving predominantly Institutional clients, to include Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution Pensions, Fiduciary/OCIO, Platforms, Financial Institutions, SWFs, and Central Banks. Jet is highly regarded for his contributions in managing & leading both people and change as well as a proven ability to build and develop high-performing Institutional client centric teams. Jet studied BA (Hons) in Money, Banking and Finance at Middlesex University and completed an MBA with the Open University.
