I have had a somewhat unconventional career.
In various cities in Europe and Asia – in Paris, Hong Kong, Bangkok etc.
In both public and private sectors – in the United Nations, think tanks, Asset Managers etc.
As an Asian person, I find that certain things have always been a challenge to me, as some of the cultural norms that we grew up with are in direct opposition with things that we may need to do in order to be successful professionally.
We were taught to keep our heads down and work, to be humble and polite, and not to tell our accomplishments etc.
I believe we are strong only when we embrace differences, this is why I became passionate about diversity and inclusion.
I joined the investment management industry in 2018 and worked in various roles in relationship management, product and marketing. Besides promoting DE&I at work, I am also an avid traveller and a Classical singer and pianist.
