I am Head of Responsible Investment at London CIV and an independent Conceptual Artist. I am committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals to tackle the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. It is my belief that equality is not only a fundamental human right but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. If we all think in the same way, we are bound to make the same mistakes.
Within my current role, I help to support the acceleration of diversity across fund management and organisations, recognising the value at risk associated with monoculturalism and the financial opportunity associated when company boards and investment teams are composed of cognitively diverse individuals. Through my art practice I highlight socioeconomic inequalities and provide opportunities through collaboration with marginalised underrepresented groups to increase awareness and drive change.
I am a Northerner whose father is Jewish from Russian heritage and mother is Christian from sunny Doncaster. I achieved a scholarship to read Fine Art at The University of Oxford and later returned to study Sustainable Finance. I deliver training at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership, sit on the Board of Waterlow Residents, am a Trustee for several women’s charities, I married a Muslim from Palestine and am proud to be vegan.
