Hristina Vaceva

Senior Vice President – Business Development

I was born and raised in Bulgaria and came to the UK to study at the University of Edinburgh, where I earned a degree in Business Studies and Law.

I started my career in the city at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, following a summer internship. I subsequently moved to the asset management industry and I currently work for Payden & Rygel. I am a senior client portfolio manager and business development professional, responsible for our firm’s relationships with institutional clients and consultants in the UK, Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

I serve on the Trustee board of Likewise, a mental health and social care charity. Over the past 8 years I have been a volunteer for gender diversity and education charities including GAIN (Girls are investors), the Social Mobility Foundation and Founders4Schools, focusing on fairer access to careers education and employment opportunities in the industry. I enjoy mentoring and helping others advance their careers, and recently completed a Coaching for Business course with City, University of London.

I am a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the Certificate in ESG Investing and the Diploma in Investment Management (ESG) and have a keen interest in sustainable investing.
