Elizabeth Oni-lyiola

I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and came to the UK as a 10-year-old, lived in London for over 20 years and now a resident of Edinburgh, Scotland. I am intellectually curious about the world around me, and this leads me to travelling and living in different parts of the world.

After starting my career in Finance, I moved to the public sector to pursue my passion for effecting change. I’ve worked with organisations such as the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and the UK Skills Funding Agency, to improve access to skills and finance for historically marginalised communities and women. I subsequently joined a start-up DEI organisation and led the business’ DEI advisory and training service to becoming a well-known DEI specialist. My governance, DEI and people track record and experience is extensive, spanning 10 years+, with both private and public assignments and DEI research into sectors and industries; STEM, Finance and Not-for-profit.

Outside of work, you will often find me and my 2-year-old finding yet another adventure to go on, hiking or trying a new place to eat (by myself).
