Born in the UK, my parents are from East Africa and my heritage is Indian.
I have worked in Human Resources for over 20 years, with the last 15 years being with GIC, a Sovereign Wealth Fund, as Head of Human Resources, Europe. In this role, my goal is to take actions to contribute to a better balance within the Investment Management Industry and lead Diversity and Inclusion for the European region. I am also a member of the Steering Committee for our CSR efforts, where one of our goals is to contribute to positive social impact outcomes for 16-24 year olds.
With the Diversity Project, I am proud to be an advisor for the Race and Ethnicity workstream and have a special interest in gender diversity, social mobility and neurodiversity, as well as exploring how layering of characteristics result in additional challenges.
As Vice Chair of the Trust Board and HR Trustee at a local state secondary school, my areas of focus are diversity, equality and inclusion and staff wellness. I also sit on the Education Committee. Finally, I undertake pro-bono HR Board Advisory work for a humanitarian / poverty focused charity.
