Dan Chapman-Harris (he/him/his)

Head of Learning and Development

Dan is the Head of Learning and Development at Octopus Investments and is the chairperson of their D&I steering group.

Dan has been an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion since he first moved to London on a tax accountancy grad scheme back in 2006. Since then, Dan has held various roles but has supported D&I efforts throughout. After working in Tax and supporting the Employee Resource Group for LGTBQ+ colleagues, Dan moved into the world of teaching – changing careers through the Teach First programme and teaching maths in a girls’ school in North West London. This was a great opportunity for Dan to support girls interested in learning more about the world of STEM and career paths into finance in the city. After teaching, Dan moved back to the world of finance in a learning and development role and has stayed in the L&D space ever since.

Outside of the day job, Dan co-chaired the annual Summer fundraiser for the Terrence Higgins Trust and has supported Mermaids, Albert Kennedy Trust and Diversity Role Models.
