I grew up near Cardiff and went to school there. My Welsh heritage speaks out loud and clear when Wales play rugby in the Six Nations.

I studied Geography at King’s College London and then completed an MA at Syracuse University in New York State.  I particularly enjoyed the US entrepreneurial mindset where anyone with a good idea, who works hard can make it happen.

I started my career in public relations working at Hill & Knowlton in London on their graduate training scheme. In 1997 I joined the Association of Investment Companies, who represent the boards of investment companies.  As Communications Director I am responsible for the reputation of the Association and investment company industry.

During my career, I have seen first-hand the considerable improvements that diversity brings. I am passionate about diversity becoming a reality in our industry. We need more female fund managers and directors and to achieve this we need to encourage more women to join the industry and stay in it.

I have a wonderful supportive husband, two boys and live in Oxfordshire.  I enjoy the Great Outdoors whether it’s riding, wild swimming, or pottering around my garden but I’m also a fan of the arts.
