Since 2016 BMO Financial Group has sustained 40% female representation in senior leadership roles. In 2017, we were proud winners of the Catalyst Award in recognition of our efforts to improve gender diversity.
We live, work and manage clients in places that are demographically, socially and culturally diverse. At BMO Global Asset Management we strongly believe that the onus is on us as an organisation, and as an industry, to better reflect this diversity.
We believe that a diverse workforce and an inclusive organisation will enable us to more successfully face the challenges of the future. Our leadership team have spent time analysing and understanding our gaps and we have a plan of action. The initial focus of our global diversity and inclusion plan is on gender. It is critical that we increase female representation within our teams and as such we have set targets and will be measuring our progress against them. However, we are striving to create an inclusive workplace for everybody where diverse perspectives are sought out and valued.
We are taking an action centred approach with the aim of accelerating progress. We hope that by collaborating with industry colleagues we will further expedite this progress and this is why BMO Global Asset Management has joined The Diversity Project.
