An online event to find out about the opportunities and support available on the Diversity Project Cross-Company Returner Programme 2023

Date: 12th January 2023

Time: 09:30 – 12:30 GMT

Join us at the Diversity Project: Cross-Company Returner Programme Insight Event for a morning of inspiration, support, information gathering, and peer networking, specifically designed for professionals wanting to return to work in the Savings and Investment sector in London after an extended career break.

The Programme, now in its fourth year, offers a 6-month returnship or supported hiring into a permanent role. It starts in April 2023 and will open for applications in January 2023. It’s run by Women Returners, the Return to Work Specialists, in partnership with the Diversity Project, an industry-led initiative championing a more inclusive culture within the Savings and Investment sector.

What will you get out of the day?

  • Find out more from the 7 participating employers AON, Artemis, Aviva Investors, BNY Mellon, Fulcrum Asset Management, LCP, and Northern Trust about the returnship opportunities on offer through the programme
  • Hear from Diversity Project Returners about their experience on the programme and their successful return to work in previous cohorts
  • Participate in a return-to-work workshop facilitated by Women Returners
  • Meet with and other like-minded returners during the workshop and start to build your professional network

Who should attend?

The event is targeted at individuals with a professional corporate background who have taken an extended career break* (over 18 months as at April 2023), and who are interested in returning to work within the Investment and Savings sector and applying for the returnship. You will be available to work in London and have the right to work in the UK.

*You may have taken time out to look after children or elderly/sick relatives, for relocation, for a personal health issue or for other reasons. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.

Note: This event is not targeted at employers, recruitment agencies or coaches. This event is for the target audience described above. If, from your answers to the registration questions, you do not appear to fit this profile, we reserve the right to notify you that your registration has not been accepted and will do so within 2 weeks after your registration.

About the Diversity Project: Cross-Company Returner Programme

The Cross-Company Returner Programme, now in its fourth year, is a 6-month returnship or supported hiring programme run by Women Returners in partnership with the Diversity Project, an industry-led initiative championing a more inclusive culture within the Savings and Investment sector.

The Programme offers a 6-month returnship placement or a permanent role with one of the participating employers. All roles will be based in London and surrounding areas but we anticipate the programme will include hybrid working. The Programme will commence on 24 April 2023, and will include transition support during a 6-month period. There will be an opportunity to join on a 6 month returnship with a strong likelihood of permanent employment at the end of the programme, or join a permanent role from day 1. Positions are at a professional level with a range of roles and areas available; these will be advertised when the programme application process opens early January 2023.

This is a fully supported route back to work and you will receive internal mentoring and a buddy, together with coaching support from Women Returners to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace. As coaching support will be delivered centrally, you will benefit from a large supportive peer network of like-minded people across all the organisations. Various flexible working options may be available during and after the Programme depending on the employer organisation and the role.
