Virginie Maisonneuve

Founder and Managing Director

I am Caucasian, French and American and went to a co-ed comprehensive school in France followed by an MBA from ESLSCA and a BA in Mandarin Chinese at Dauphine University.

In 1986 I worked  with the French ministry of foreign affairs in Beijing and also study political economy at People’s university.

I have been in asset management for nearly 30 years and started as a portfolio manager at Martin Currie (Scotland). I then went on to the USA where I worked for Batterymarch (Boston), State Street Research (San Francisco) and Clay Finlay (NY) where I became the co-CIO. I moved to London in 2004 to head of global equities at Schroders, before becoming CIO equities at PIMCO.

I now head MGA, a management consultant boutique.  Diversity has always been a key issue for me and I am currently chair of the CFA UK Gender Diversity network.

I am married with 2 daughters adopted from China. My husband graduated from MIT, works full time, is a technology/ internet expert and run his own company.
