Tory Hyndman

I am White Canadian/British. I was born and raised in Vancouver where I attended an all-girls independent school. I completed my undergraduate degree in Canada (Queen’s University), but my executive search career began in Hong Kong (1995) and continued in London (1997 onwards).  I completed my MBA at London Business School in 2002.

My 25 year executive search career has always focused on investment management.  I spent 11 years with Heidrick & Struggles in London as a member of the Global Asset Management practice. I then joined David Barrett Partners in 2009 to establish and lead the London office and wider EMEA business. I joined Charta Partners in 2020 and will continue to work with investment management clients.

I am passionate about advancing women’s careers in the investment management industry. To this end, I also work with primary and secondary schools to ensure that from a young age, women are educated about careers in the City and more specifically, investment management.

I am married with two children (a daughter and a son) who are both keen football players and are also dual Canadian/British citizens.
