Stephanie is white British and grew up in Surrey. Stephanie gave up a university place to join the investment industry at 18 years old. Since then, she has worked in various marketing and client service roles and her current role is Head of Institutional Clients at J O Hambro Capital Management.
In the early part of her career, Stephanie often found herself at a disadvantage to her university educated peers so now she is huge supporter of early career development schemes such Investment 20/20 (where she supports this initiative as an Investment Ambassador). She believes that more formal early career and mentoring initiatives are essential for our industry to attract and retain the best talent from more diverse backgrounds.
Stephanie’s passion is also gender equality and empowering women to ensure the next generation of women are able to work in an inclusive work environment. Stephanie feels that hybrid working is key to improving this and has worked flexibly for the past 12 years.
