I’m Australian and moved to the UK soon after completing my computer science degree many years ago.  I was one of only three women on my course in an intake of 120!

That ratio has improved since then, but is still a long way off being gender balanced.   We need more girls interested and fascinated by STEM subjects at school.  We also need more black boys and girls attracted and excited by STEM.

I’ve joined the ambassador programme because I don’t think the diversity and inclusion issues we see all around us are being resolved quickly enough, and now more than ever is the time for that to change.
