Richard Lockwood

CFO and Deputy CEO

I am white British and hail from the south, my family from Tottenham and Holloway in north London. I attended a comprehensive school and then went to Nottingham University to read Maths. I followed my sister and brother in going to University, the first in the whole extended family to do so.

I qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant while with BP and have broad financial experience and extensive knowledge of corporate governance, commercial business partnering, strategic planning and M&A activity.

My experience over the last thirty years includes leading financial roles in a number of blue chip UK retail and consumer product companies, such as Home Retail Group, BAA, Kingfisher and Whitbread before joining Nest over 7 years ago. I am the exec lead for D&I and am proud of our achievements to date, but aspire to achieve a great deal more!!
