Nicole Howard

I was born and grew up in Essex, educated at a local comprehensive school – I was lucky to have a teacher that gave me a list of universities to visit and encouraged me to apply to further my education. I went on to join the University of Bath and after 4 years received a Masters in Maths.

After I graduated from University, I joined Schroders and after 5 and a half years, I moved to First Eagle Investments. I had hardly any knowledge of asset management when I started in the industry and now I look after investor relationships, primarily in the UK Institutional market, with a specific focus on business development and consultant relations.

I am very passionate about equity and inclusion, and during my career I have been involved in social mobility initiatives, volunteered as a school governor and chaired a gender equality network.

My efforts in the workplace tend to have been focused on gender equality because I have personally felt and seen the challenges of being a woman in the industry, however I believe thinking about intersectionality, allyship, collaboration and involvement from everyone is key to creating truly inclusive cultures.

Whilst I do not have my own children, I am a big family person, or you can find me travelling, socialising, meditating, and trying (and usually failing!) to learn some Spanish in my spare time.
