I am white British and navigated my way through the South West’s state education system via comprehensive school, technical college and polytechnic, ultimately graduating in Computing and Informatics.
I developed a real but unexpected interest in financial services early in my technology career and have subsequently spent 25 hugely enjoyable years working on behalf of clients in consultancy and change delivery roles, across the Life & Pensions, Investments and Insurance sectors. I have been building and leading a team of now 100+ colleagues at challenger FS management consulting firm Altus since 2007. I am passionate about fairness, about opportunity and about community.
I am married with 3 mostly grown-up children and a rejected guide dog called Esther, and in my spare time I chair and work in a not-for-profit community shop (it definitely makes no profit).
