Jo is white British who grew up in the North East of England. She attended a local comprehensive and started her career in retail management age 18 following her A Level Studies. Jo continued her studies at Teesside University from the age of 34 studying Purchasing & Supply and is now a Chartered Member of CIPS.

Jo has over 25 years’ experience of Procurement which spans several sectors, including the social housing sector, where Jo really saw the positive impact of truly embedding inclusion and diversity into the workplace.

Part of the Leadership team at Railpen since 2017, Jo has taken the lead in driving forward Railpen’s inclusion & diversity agenda and embedding Railpen’s Belonging Programme. Recently a 2022 finalist for Professional Pensions Women in Pensions Awards.

Jo is married with a pre-teenage son and two young dogs!
