I am white British, and grew up in Surrey where I was educated in state schools. Coming from a family who worked predominantly in manufacturing and engineering, I was the first in my extended family to attend university.
I studied Mathematics at the University of Kent, taking a year out partway through for a year in industry with Friends Life (later acquired by Aviva). On graduation in 2014, I re-joined Friends Life before joining Mercer in 2016. Since joining Mercer, alongside my role as an actuarial consultant to DB pension schemes, I have taken on the role of leading the UK’s Diversity & Inclusion champions network.
Outside of my day to day work, I am interested in tackling the issue of financial literacy and lack thereof in the UK. Other interests include skiing, rugby and reading.
