I am white British and grew up in Edinburgh.  I studied biology at Edinburgh University before starting my HR career in the fish and oil industries of Aberdeen.

After moving to Glasgow I worked in a number of different sectors before joining Hymans Robertson.  As a senior leader and partner within the firm, I am a keen champion of diversity and inclusion and am the board executive accountable for ensuring that we meet our stated strategic goals in that regard.

The partnership is made up of 30% women and the firm is run on a set of diversity and inclusion principles that aims to improve on all aspects of diversity across the business. I am also a trustee of the Hymans Robertson Foundation which supports financial literacy and access to work projects for disadvantaged young people.

With a family of 3, I have first-hand experience of the career benefits of shared caring responsibilities and flexible working arrangements.
