SafeSpace

The Diversity Project exists solely to create a more diverse and inclusive investment and savings industry – we are offering everyone who works in the industry the opportunity to share experiences of poor behaviour via Safe Space.

These behaviours can include but not limited to: any form of bullying, discrimination or harassment, including racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, disability discrimination, ageism, discrimination on the basis of socio-economic background as well as any sexual harassment (this is not an exhaustive list). We can only address problems and build inclusive, positive working environments if we first understand the nature and extent of any such behaviours.

We are asking anyone who has experienced, witnessed or may have caused such adverse behaviours within the past five years to come forward. Those behaviours may be related to colleagues or others in the industry, e.g. clients or third parties who you have worked with.

The Diversity Project offers a safe space for you to share your story. All experiences will remain confidential, and your identity protected. The information will only be accessible to Helena Morrissey, Chair of the Diversity Project (unless you report something potentially criminal which we are required to pass this along to the Police. However, if this is the case we will consult with you first).

Any incidents reported will be anonymised before being collated and categorised under key themes. Aggregated findings which will remain anonymous (e.g. it will not be possible to identify any individuals or firms) will be presented to the Diversity Project’s Advisory Council who will agree actions to address problems in order to create better workplace cultures. Contact details are only sought to allow for any signposting to help and resources if required.

We need your help to identify poor conduct: please do get in touch.
