Event: #TalkAboutBlack presents: An Insight into Asset Management

A full day event is your opportunity to meet, ask questions and develop contacts within asset management.

Penultimate and final year university students and recent graduates.

At this impactful, practical and immersive experience you will:

  • Take part in a variety of workshops (CV review, interview experience and assessment centre practice)
  • Hear from CEOs, industry experts and the personal experiences of black fund managers and distribution representatives.

Bring your curiosity, ambition and leave with an understanding of:

  • Investment and distribution roles available at sponsoring investment managers
  • Skills required for success in these roles
  • The practical tips for success at the recruitment stage
  • Opportunity to build long lasting networks

The ultimate aim is to raise awareness of the asset management industry and on the wide variety of roles available. There has been a drive to increase diversity in the industry to enable:

  • Greater diversity of thought leading to better decision making and performance
  • Institutions being more representative of the customers and communities they serve
  • New perspectives to successfully navigate the changing economic, geopolitical and demographic landscape
  • Asset managers to contribute to society and reduce inequalities

Places are limited so attendance to the event is selective. Applications are now open.

If you would like to attend, please apply by 27 September 2019, by emailing your CV to [email protected].

In your response, please also answer the following questions (100 words max for each question):

  1. How do you formulate your own opinions?
  2. Please provide an example of when you have managed a difficult situation.
  3. Tell us about something in your personal life that excites you.

Successful applicants will be notified week commencing 7 October 2019.
