This year, over 650 delegates joined us for the Diversity Project’s #WhatWorks Annual Event on Friday, November 17th (14:30-17:00), which was kindly hosted by UBS Asset Management. Our delegates were from across the Investment and Savings industry, with roles ranging from CEO, C-suite to pre-industry joiners and a range of roles in between.
In the current challenging market and economic conditions, businesses might be tempted to act on short-termism. However, leaders need to look at strategies, including those on DEI, as integral components of their plan to navigate through recession.
Our audience had the opportunity to listen to a panel of Member Firm’s C-Suite discuss how businesses can position themselves to not only weather the economic downturn but ensure they are positioned to emerge with winning business models when the downturn improves.
In 2023, we have three themes that run through all our work including this event, ensuring we create further impact: Accountability and Measurement, Intersectionality, and New Ways of Working.
Thank you to all change makers who were able to join us for this event, and for those that couldn’t attend, we hope you’ll find the below event videos and resources of particular interest. Over the course of the day we heard from industry-leading speakers covering thought-provoking topics, taking part in discussions to collaborate, forge connections, and celebrate DEI champions. For those that attended in-person, there was also a networking session following the event, where like-minded individuals could connect, and ask questions to our Ask us Anything speakers: Mitesh Sheth, Heather Ingles, and Jenny Fenton.
