We have all responded to the COVID pandemic by adjusting our business models and working practices to support our clients, our partners and our communities. The Ministry of Defence UK Armed Forces’ response to COVID-19 and the roll-out of testing and vaccine delivery has become the biggest ever homeland military operation in peacetime, with more than 5,000 personnel deployed to the front line to fight the pandemic.
The ability of military personnel to respond to crises, plan and deliver programmes and stay calm under pressure are all skills that are vital in any industry, including financial services.
In this session, we heard from serving officers about how they have responded to the challenge of COVID and how their aptitude, ability and adaptability are transferable skills that could be deployed within your firm by hiring armed forces veterans.
