I am white British and grew up in Coventry. I read Maths at Loughborough University and had a one year industrial placement with Shell, at their Thornton Research Centre in Cheshire.I joined Sedgwick Noble Lowndes in 1997 as a graduate and became an actuarial trainee based in Slough.
After Mercer acquired SNL in 1999 and a relocation to Windsor, I moved into investments and became an investment analyst. I obtained my CFA Charterholder in 2004 and trained to become an investment consultant in London. I am now a Senior Consultant at Mercer with a wide and varied client portfolio.
I have managed a number of teams within Mercer and up until the end of 2015, I was the Head of London Investments – a role I handed on after 4 years to allow me to focus purely on client consulting.
I work part-time, 4 days a week. This enables me to spend one day in the week with my 3-year old daughter, Beatrice and 5-year old son, Edward. We have an amazing nanny who helps our family for the rest of the week.
My husband works full-time as a Senior Alternatives Analyst at Prudential and helped my return into work by taking one year off to look after our children when Beatrice was 6 months old.
