I am white British, went to a co-ed comprehensive school, then to University.
I became an apprentice horse rider/yard manager in Germany after that and when I eventually came back to the UK, I fell into pensions and have been connected to pensions ever since through roles in occupational schemes, insurance, consultancy, and back to occupational schemes – one of those roles was internal head of pensions for an investment manager!
I’ve been involved with the PLSA for many years, because I believe that pensions are important and voices are stronger together.
I became their first female Chair last year. I am married and have no children.
