I am white British; pale and male, and a second generation grammar school kid from Lancashire. My wife Pip (Welsh, just got an “A” in her Art A-level) and I have four boys, one of whom is transgender, and all of whom are third generation grammar school kids from Buckinghamshire.
Since University in Durham, I have worked in London for thirty years; twelve as an Actuary and investment consultant, then eighteen for RPMI Railpen, where we strive to be a long-term, world class asset owner.
I am proud to have chaired the PLSA and been a trustee at NEST, and to be an Honorary Fellow of CFA UK.
A typical MAMIL (middle-aged man in Lycra), I plan to run my sixth marathon in London in 2017, on behalf of SHELTER.
