I am white British, went to grammar school in Bury, then to the University of Sheffield where I studied Accounting, Financial Management & Economics.
I began my career in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services practice in London where I qualified as a chartered accountant. I focused on banking and capital markets clients and my EY experience included secondments to the New York and Sydney offices. I advanced to partner level. I then moved on to join Deutsche Bank where I held various leadership positions in Finance, including deputy CFO. I subsequently spent 3 years at Credit Suisse as Head of Group Finance and Chief Accounting Officer before moving on to join the board of Jupiter Fund Management plc as CFO.
I am married and we have three children; my husband is a Client Service Director at EY focused on global clients in the technology sector and is Head of Sales for EY’s largest industry segments outside financial services.
